What is Intuitive Fasting?

Intuitive Fasting is the guide you need to understand all the complexities of intermittent fasting. In this intermittent fasting book, Dr Will Cole offers the readers a flexible four week intermittent fasting plan that promises to recharge your metabolism and renew your health. This method is relied upon by various famous personalities, including Gwyneth Paltrow, who has also written the foreword to show her approval for Dr Cole’s work.

Intuitive Fasting details an easy to follow weight loss method that is backed by science and supported by plenty of research.

For years I struggled with brain fog, blood sugar crashes, and fatigue. I was always hungry and got extremely nauseous and cranky if I went more than 3 or 4 hours without food. The type of intermittent fasting described in this book (where I aim to leave a slightly longer window between dinner and breakfast — about 12 to 14 hours, nothing crazy) has really helped me with these issues and has actually led to me thinking about food/eating/my body/my health a whole lot less. This book outlines the research behind the benefits of a shortened daily eating window while encouraging readers to listen to their body without exception and eat if they get hungry and not force themselves into anything. That's why I'm not sure why it's getting so much hate? There are a ton of books about fasting (I've read many of them) and this one is by far the most lenient, non-restrictive, and considerate of those who may have a complicated relationship with food. I would agree that if you have a history of disordered eating, fasting in general probably isn't for you and you shouldn't buy this book (the author also makes this clear on page 59) but I don't think that means it can't exist for all the other people who might benefit? Almost 75% of Americans are overweight and so. many. people. are struggling with that and looking for a manageable way to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight that doesn't involve obsessing about calories and portions. Can't this book exist for them? Just my two cents.
